World of Goods Resale Store Welcome Refugee & Empowerment Elderly & Family Assistance Immigration & Legal Professional Counseling & Children
WORLD OF GOODS RESALE STORE....
Catholic Charities of Dallas operates the World of Goods resale store in the Dallas area to support its family assistance and refugee resettlement services which benefits the more than 50,000 clients served each year. By shopping and donating, you are providing help...creating help, regardless of faith, to all those in need. This year, the store has given away over $50,000 in material assistance to help those who struggle with the pain of poverty. The store is open to the public and accepts donations of new and gently-used clothing, furniture, electronics, household items, collectibles, etc. In honor of its 1st anniversary on August 30th, the store will be introducing a customer rewards program with special monthly promotions. Items must be packed and ready to go when the driver arrives. Days/Times are: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday - 7:45AM, 8:30, 9:15, 10:00, 10:45, 11:30, 12:15PM & 1:00PM. Pickup Guidelines: Drivers will pick up furniture donations on these days. If you want to donate other items in addition to your furniture, drivers can also collect up to five 16-gallon bags or boxes.
The store cannot accept: office furniture, exercise equipment, mattresses or box springs, washers or dryers, stoves, refrigerators or freezers, large appliances (except for working, big-screen TVs - 50" or more), dish washers, any type of furniture that is stained, worn, soiled, torn or broken, books, lawn equipment, or computers.
The store will accept: home decorations, houseware, clothes, shoes, working TVs over 46”, small working kitchen appliances, end tables, coffee tables, lamps.

Thousands of people must flee their homeland in fear of persecution and death each year. Catholic Charities works with the United States government to shelter these victims of circumstance.
To empower our clients, we help strengthen families and eliminate barriers to employment. Employment Services include job preparedness and placement assistance. By accessing Education and Training Services, adults may enroll in a variety of classes available to everyone.

We provide nutrition, social services and recreational activities to Dallas residents over age 60. Bilingual staff coordinate a wide variety of activities and services for those who are enrolled.
Catholic Charities recognizes the plight of those living in poverty. Assistance in the form of food, clothing and financial assistance is available to eligible persons living in certain zip codes. |

Professional staff members work to help an expectant family determine the best plan for both mother and child - whether it is parenting or choosing to place the child with an adoptive family.
